Kyle Alexander Scott

We at Lewis & Bull would like to feature a fine example of stylish excellence in menswear on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University. His name is Kyle Alexander Scott. He is a junior public relations student who has captured our eyes ever since he stepped foot on campus. His mix of classic menswear pieces (i.e. brogue shoes, trench coats, and tapered trousers) infused with a metropolitan edge offers an aesthetic that stands out amongst many here at A&T. Read the interview on this uber-interesting style fixture on our campus below.

L&B: What does the idea of “dressing for success” mean to you?
KAS: Dressing for success is being able to exude professionalism, individuality, and having a clean, sharp, look.

L&B: If you could describe your style in three words what would those words be?
KAS: Classic, Modern, and Minimalistic.

L&B: When you wake up in the morning & go into your closet, what is the first thing you think of when figuring out what you want to wear?
KAS: When I wake up in the morning, I first check the weather and adapt my clothing based off of that.  I then go through my “trial/error” period of trying on clothes and seeing how it looks in the mirror.

L&B: What are 1 to 3 article(s) of clothing you absolutely cannot live without?
KAS: Tapered Jeans/Pants, Topcoats/Jackets, Striped Tees

L&B: What keeps you motivated?
KAS: My motivation is derived from expressing myself through the way that I dress and being able to piece different types of clothing that may not seem normal but somehow flows with the rest of the outfit.

L&B: Where do you plan to be in the next 5 years?
KAS: In five years, I plan to be in a major city working in Public Relations for a fashion or fortune 500 company whilst traveling the world.

L&B: Why is style important to you?
KAS: Style is important to me because it says so much about a person before you even speak to someone. They say that dressing well is a form of good manners and I believe it's true. I live by the quote "Look good, feel good." When one is dressed in his or her own pleasure and not worrying about what someone says, it shows that you are confident in yourself and no one else can take that away from you.
